Wake up. And stay awake. This theme recurs in many articles in the latest issue of De Wekker. The magazine was published just before Christmas.
It concerns, for example, the Sun of righteousness, which rises and dispels the darkness. There is a wake-up call from Prof. Dr. Kater for people with an unhealthy sense of responsibility. An interview with Wilma van der Zande, who is retiring as a study advisor at the TUA and will no longer need to set her alarm clock every day. And a warning from Dr. Van den Os not to close our eyes to the presence and activity of the devil.
Furthermore, a report from the Dordrecht classis, which in two meetings discussed the situation in our church association at length and in which “it was noted with gratitude that, despite the national tensions, congregational life was generally able to continue in a blessed manner.”
And what does Rev. Han Schenau have to do with the ‘six-seven’ hype? Read about it in his column.
