In a letter to Prime Minister Schoof, we as churches express our deep concern about rising anti-Semitism. The events in Israel on 7 October 2023 and the dire events in Amsterdam on the night of 7-8 November this year prompted us to express these concerns.
The cabinet is asked not to sit idly by: "... you can take decisive action against the hatred of Jews that continually and increasingly rears its head in the Netherlands. We therefore call on you to do so: protect our Jewish fellow citizens, name and combat anti-Semitism in our country."
The letter was sent on Thursday, November 14.
