Jewish reading of Isaiah: new project, something for you?
How does a Jew read Isaiah's prophecy? To have a conversation with Jews about that, the Centre for Israel Studies is launching a new project. You can register for it free of charge. Every fortnight you will then receive an e-mail in which an Orthodox Jew and a Christian theologian each write a short commentary on a section from the book of Isaiah and discuss it with each other. To make this suitable for circles, discussion questions are also included.
Open evening Jewish Bible reading on 9 April in Ede
On Tuesday 9 April, one of the authors of this project, the Orthodox Jewish Dr Dani Evers from Israel, will start reading Isaiah 1. You are cordially invited to be present for this and participate in the conversation with him. This will take place from 7pm at the Christelijke Hogeschool in Ede. The evening is free of charge. Please register via info@hetcis.nl (both for the mail project and the open evening).
