How do visitors from outside the church experience a service? This is what theologian René van Loon has researched. Next spring, the book A guest in the church, in which Van Loon shows the results of his research. Come to the study afternoon on Friday 21 March! An afternoon with a rich programme: presentation of the book and the main research results, reflections on the book and valuable workshops all related to the theme of the book.
Fifty local churches, including some Christian Reformed churches, participated in the survey and invited guests from outside the church. 152 people attended a service somewhere in the country and filled in a questionnaire. Do you feel welcome? Can you follow what is said? Does the music speak to you? Do you experience something of God or the divine? It yielded a wealth of information, which René van Loon is happy to share with churches. What can we learn from the results of this survey?
