Getting started
The annual Relief Sunday falls on 5 February in 2023. The theme is: brilliance.
New this year: a handout for a diaconal week, prior to Relief Sunday.
Such a week was held in the municipality of Bunschoten in 2022. Read about it in
Doorgeven May 2022 (pages 20 and 21).
Several churches asked us to help organise this. And we want to do just that!

About the relief Sunday
We live in dark times, much gloom (due to wars, environmental problems, corona). The gospel says: let your Light shine. And the special thing is: we don't have to do that ourselves, God does it in us - through his Spirit. Just as the moon shines only by reflecting the light of the sun. So: pass on the Light! To that end, this Relief Sunday, including Diaconal Week, offers many opportunities.
