In early February, all church councils within our denomination receive a letter about the convention to be held on 20 April. Much has been spoken and written about the convention in the churches in response to that letter: sometimes expectantly, sometimes critically, always concerned.
Deputies representation and preparatory committee have tried to listen carefully to this plurality of voices. After all, the convention will have to be a gathering of the churches as a whole, not a project of the undersigned. This, together with the first impressions of the poll, now gives rise to a supplementary letter for clarification and further colouring.
