Once again, we draw your attention to emergency aid Mozambique. There are many needs in the world that demand our attention and we have choices to make. Nevertheless, we want to ask you to take Mozambique's need to heart and, as a church, take up a collection for it or donate individually. In the province of Zambezia, where our partner CODESA and the EBOM bible school are located, the need is high.

Tropical storm Freddy, which swept across southern Africa twice in a month, left a trail of destruction in Mozambique. Large parts of the country were inundated and those floods caused landslides. Buildings have been destroyed and roofs ripped off houses. There is much dejection and distress.

Drastic consequences

The storm is estimated to have killed 400 people in southern Africa. At least 200,000 people in Mozambique have lost their homes. In many parts of the country, the power supply is down and the telephone network is also not working.

Food and emergency aid

Through our partner CODESA, we want to provide help precisely where the need is very high: where people have no roof over their heads, no food and sanitation. We want to help with food, medicine, tents and other necessary care. Will you help?

This is how you can help

Please join us in praying for those affected and for relief workers. Donations can be transferred to IBAN NL52 INGB 0000 5353 00 in the name of Landelijk Kerkelijk Bureau with ref. noodhulp Mozambique. If your church holds an action for this relief project, you can also transfer your donation to your deaconess. Finally, you can help by sharing this appeal with your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours. Thank you very much!
