Impression of the project Vulnerable youth toolbox in Uganda

In eastern Uganda, there are few vocational schools. Young people from Bubulo have to travel twenty-five kilometres for a school to become a carpenter or seamstress. For many, this is too far or simply impossible because they have no transport. Shalom Ministries therefore started a school to teach construction, welding and sewing techniques. Forty young people aged between 16 and 20 now attend this school.

Diaconate gives these young people tools to get started after school: a carpentry box or a sewing machine.

We received the first photos of the distribution of the sewing machines. What joy! Unfortunately, the lumber boxes were not in time for the photos.
