Sunday, September 28, marks 100 years since the congregation of Broeksterwoude has been instituted. The congregation will commemorate this in an anniversary service on Sunday afternoon. In that service, Rev. G.J. Capellen hopes to preside. The hymns will be accompanied by Rev H.H. de Haan, who was pastor of the congregation from 1997 to 2007.

On Saturday, September 27, the congregation hopes to celebrate the centenary in a relaxed atmosphere.

A few weeks later, on D.V. 18 October, another Psalm singing evening will be held in the church in Broeksterwoude, with the cooperation of men's singing group Dit is 't wat ús bynt. This choir was founded at the time from within the congregation and in the past these Psalm singing evenings were held regularly. A modest anniversary book will also be published on this evening.

"The history of the church has had its trials and tribulations, but also its blessings. When we see what the LORD gave and gives, gratitude prevails. We can therefore wholeheartedly say: Eben-Haëzer, so far the LORD has helped us," writes scribe H.J. Kooistra.
