Every year, our churches holidays with care organised for people who cannot travel by themselves for health reasons. In April, there is a cruise on the adapted holiday ship Prince Willem-Alexander and in October at Nieuw Hydepark in Doorn. A travel report of each holiday will be published. The one for the cruise is just out.
Enjoying guests
The trip report of the last boating holiday, the Vaarkrant, gives a good impression of how the holiday was spent, but above all of the atmosphere on board. Contacts are made, new contacts are made. It is cosy, the weather is nice and there is a nice itinerary. "It is therefore with gratitude that we look back on this trip, in which we were able to experience once again the bond between us - however different we are - and the bond with our heavenly Father!" write coordinators Bert Bax and Erik Blokzijl.
Committed volunteers
Clearly, it is not just the holidaymakers who are enjoying themselves. The report begins with the anticipation of the volunteers, who are as eagerly looking forward to the trip as the participants. And it ends with tears of emotion at the farewell. Anyone who wants to be a part of that is most welcome! Every year there are new volunteers needed to make these trips possible. In addition, the RLG working group has vacancies for board members.
