More than 38 years ago, Willem Woudstra began his work as an administrator at the CGK's Services Office. Last Friday, he bade farewell to the work. Naturally, this was celebrated in the circle of colleagues.
Among other things, Willem was responsible for compiling the annual accounts of deputies for missions. At the beginning of a calendar year, he provided the mission counsellor with an overview of the contributions received from the churches and through private donations in the previous year. In this way, the consultant also knew which churches to write to because, for example, the minimum contribution from that congregation had not yet been received. Willem was thus significant not only for compiling the annual accounts, but also for 'bringing in' the contributions from the churches.
At this point, we express our heartfelt thanks to Willem from mission. We thank him for the contribution he also made to the work of mission in that long series of years.
