Incoming letter from the HomeFrontTeam of family den Hertog.
Spijkenisse, 21 January 2023
To the church council, the preaching provider and the mission committee
Dear brothers and sisters, In the spring the family of Drs W.M. den Hertog hopes to be in the Netherlands on leave. The Den Hertog family has been sent to Thailand by the CGK Leiden. This mission is in cooperation with Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF) and deputies of foreign missions of the CGK. The OMF focuses mainly on missionary work in Asia.
Wilke and Marlies and their children Lizette and Matthias recently moved to the city of Chiang Mai in the north of the country. There they will coach and mentor Christians to work elsewhere in Thailand in spreading the gospel and planting churches. From the Netherlands, a home front team (TFT) is supporting the den Hertog family.
During the upcoming furlough, Wilke hopes to minister in a number of congregations. There is also the opportunity to ask him to make a presentation on the work in Thailand. This could take place after a church service, but also on another day. It would be a great opportunity to get acquainted with Wilke and Marlies and their work on the mission field.
On the following Sundays in 2023, Wilke can preside in a morning service: 4 and 25 June and on 2 and 9 July. On a number of days (not Fridays and Saturdays) in the period from 22 May to 6 July, it is possible to invite Wilke and Marlies to make a presentation.
To make further arrangements, please contact the TFT: thuisfront@cgkleiden.nl. We look forward to receiving your response by 1 March 2023.
Best regards, on behalf of the HomeFrontTeam,
Joke van Middelkoop-Kooiman, Tineke Toet-Floor
