Rev Wilke den Hertog and his wife Marlies are stepping down as missionaries in Thailand. Until recently, they were involved in teaching pastors there and young people who want to get involved in church planting. They will start working as church planter in South Limburg. The family has since returned to the Netherlands.
Almost a decade ago, on Sunday 6 December 2015, family Den Hertog went as missionaries to the Isaan region in Thailand. They were sent out by CGK Leiden, in cooperation with Deputaten Zending and OMF Netherlands. “We are impressed by the faithfulness and determination with which Wilke and Marlies have dedicated themselves to making known The Good News of the Kingdom of God,” says Harry Lukens, deputy missionary and member of the Asia committee. “It was not always easy, but they always trusted in their Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
More on the work in Thailand, can be found in an earlier post on the relocation within Thailand Of the Den Hertog family.
Deputies Mission warmly thank Wilke and Marlies and their children Lizette and Matthias for their availability and commitment to this piece of missionary work.
God's blessing wished for the next phase on the mission field in South Limburg!
