For mission workers, the support and compassion shown by churches make a huge difference. What you do as a supporter really does matter. But how do you stay involved? It helps to take a moment every now and then to reflect on why you do it. And to carry on with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. That is why we are inviting you to one of the regional evenings organised by Foreign Missions.
Regional evenings across the country
From October 2026 to May 2027, the Overseas Mission team will be travelling around the country. We will be meeting with CGK members in seven locations who are involved in, or wish to become involved in, missionary work.
At a regional evening, you’ll hear the latest news about missionary work and gain ideas on how your church can get involved in the projects. A missionary will also share his or her story. Over coffee, tea and a meal, there’ll be time to meet others too. The theme of the evenings is: Churches with a mission. Contributing to God’s mission for this world.
For whom.
Parishioners who are involved in, or would like to become involved in, missionary work are very welcome. You may also take part as a church council member, minister, deacon or member of an evangelism committee. The evenings are spread across the country as far as possible. You are free to attend the evening of your choice.
Times, dates and venues
Time
Every evening begins at 6.00 pm with a light meal. During the meal, we’ll talk together about mission. You’re also welcome to join us after the meal: the programme will then start at 7.00 pm.
