How do we keep all young people involved? This question is a common sigh in the church. Above all, we need the work of the Holy Spirit. But new forms of youth work also need new 'tools'. Drs L. (Laurens) Snoek, during the training day on Thursday 6 October, will join us in looking for new perspectives and the corresponding tools for working with young people in today's church!
Is there perspective for church youth work? Those who ask themselves this question face an important, believing duty: to look further and dig deeper. Under the leadership of Laurens Snoek, keynote speaker at the training day, we will work on this together. Looking further, both back into history and forward into the future. We will dig deeper to better understand what lies beneath the current state of church youth work and we will look upwards, towards the Head of the church: Jesus Christ.
The second lecture will have a practical focus. What do the new perspectives we gained in the afternoon mean for my own practice as a catechist, leader or minister in the congregation? What tools do I need? How do I really make these tools my own, so that I can handle them properly?
In two rounds of workshops, you will work on practising skills and sharing experiences. The programme includes a meal and there will be time and space to meet each other. An inspiring and encouraging programme awaits all workers in the church, very welcome!
