The LCJ's national campaign, 'From seeing to looking after' has concluded. The LCJ is a national campaign started together with Come over and help (KOEH). The action slogan was: 'from seeing to caring'. The organisations are very surprised and grateful for the wonderful amount this action raised; a whopping 90,125 euros!

Marieke Griffioen, LCJ: "What a wonderful amount the national campaign raised. Thanks to this support, the work of the LCJ can continue. It is our desire that children and young people are touched in the heart. That they come to know the Lord Jesus personally, get to know Him better and learn to follow Him in their lives." And in Georgia, Come over and help children in another day care centre can be accommodated. This building can accommodate more children and better organise care. In this way, more and more street children get the love and attention they so desperately need.

A large group of CGK congregants from the LCJ constituency enthusiastically got involved by carrying out various creative and original actions. For instance, there was a baking competition, piles of oliebollen were sold, buffets were organised for the whole congregation and young people sat on scaffolding outdoors for 24 hours. Many people and young people also participated in the 24-hour marathon held from 31 March to 1 April.

The National Action Committee concluded the action in a video. Gerben Heldoorn, director of Come Over and Help, warmly thanked the efforts of numerous LCJs: "Extraordinary that the vulnerable children and young people in Georgia have touched the hearts of many people and that so much has been given so generously. By participating in this action, Dutch young people have answered Jesus' call in Matthew 25: Inasmuch as you have done this for one of these least of these brothers of Mine, you have done it for Me."
