Holiday period or not, *De Wekker* continues to offer the same content and depth as it does throughout the rest of the year.
You’ll have to work hard for your bread… The ‘A Closer Look’ section explores the desire to no longer have to work. There’s a meditation on letting go of worries, and the ‘Pioneering’ column also deals with freedom.
This series of articles on the names of God focuses on a name that reflects what God does: God who sanctifies you. It is both a gift and a challenge. “God creates space for us to encounter Him and to live out of His strength and love.”
In the interview series ‘Generations in the Church’, Ad de Blaeij shares his thoughts. He is a great organ enthusiast and an active member of the Sjofar Evangelism Foundation, known for its yellow ambulances. “I think it’s a positive development to see that people these days are more open about talking about their faith.”
Finally, two invitations. One to attend the inauguration of the CGK Stad en Ommeland on 2 September. The second is for the presentation of “Serving in Christ’s Church’, a collection of publications by Prof. Dr W. van ”t Spijker, on 21 September.
