Deputies mutual assistance and advice have compiled useful information on safety and management. The documents below were prepared partly in response to questions from municipalities. Click on the document of your choice to download it.
Health & safety
Churches are responsible for the safety of salaried staff, volunteers and visitors. Churches therefore have to deal with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and health and safety regulations. It is advisable, and in many cases even mandatory, to also make proper arrangements for emergency assistance by organising in-house emergency services (bhv) and drawing up a proper emergency plan.

Management of buildings and finances
The management committee manages the congregations' finances and, if the congregation has its own building, for the operation and maintenance of the church building. The committee has its own duties and powers for these responsibilities and bears directors' liability to some extent.
