Believe

We believe in God. To Him we owe our existence: He made the universe, the earth and everything that lives. It was perfect.

Fracture

Everything was perfect until man decided to go his own way. Then something broke down between God and humans. Since then, no human being has been able to live as God intended. We see the miserable consequences of this all around us every day. When we are left to ourselves, things go wrong. God wants the opposite. He wants restoration of his good creation.

Recovery

Jesus Christ, the son of God, came to restore that disturbed relationship. He was the only one capable of living as God intended. He lived and taught that to his followers. He literally sacrificed his life to restore the relationship between God and man. In doing so, he took upon himself the punishment we deserve.

After three days, He rose from the grave. We believe He is alive. He has finally conquered evil and death. Jesus then went to heaven, back to God, but He is coming back.

Meanwhile

Until then, the Holy Spirit inspires and helps us to do what God loves: love God above all else and your neighbour as yourself.

This is not always easy. Besides the help of the Spirit of Christ, we also need each other. That is why we gather in church, to honour God, pray, learn from Him and encourage each other.

Believers are like everyone else, they make mistakes. But we believe they will be forgiven if we ask for them. And when Jesus Christ returns, all evil and sorrow will be past forever. Everything will again be as God intended, a paradise on earth. Those who follow Jesus will live on there even after death. Forever.
