The spring issue of Vrouw! magazine is a colourful magazine. The theme of colour appears on almost every page.
The article on the use of (symbolic) colours in the liturgy explains what the different colours mean in the church.
People also have different colours and cultures. Do we then look at the differences or at what unites us, asks Gerdine Bonhof in the article Multicolour in the church. At the same time, in many churches little of that colour of our multicoloured society can be seen, observes Aukje Paine-Huisman of the Gospel and Muslims Foundation.
In the column A week in the life of..., artist Tineke Alma gives an insight into her daily life. Designers Dietie Gommers and Willianne Treurniet gave an interview about their book, which invites creativity in interior design. “How could the interior design of your home show your Christianity? If you are wondering this, we wrote this book especially for you ;) So read it!!!"
The Wordless Book explains the complete Gospel using five colours. Geertje Fokkema challenges readers to create their own colourful book without words
As in every issue, this issue includes Bible studies:
- Geertje Fokkema wrote a Bible study on Psalm 8, Song of Praise to God's Creation.
- The last of the series of Bible studies on music deals with music and singing in Christian congregations. Rev C.J. Droger argues for joyful singing and harmonious music and asks and some probing discussion questions.
