In recent days, the first session week of the synod, the reports of the committee on the future of the church were discussed behind closed doors. Those reports are now available.

It is precisely in this subject that nuance in the discussions is important. In order not to lose that nuance, the moderation of the General Synod chose not to produce a summary, but to provide the report with a trailer.

That overlay states, among other things, that the process of deciding on the future of the church body is still ongoing. "By no means everything has been accomplished and matured. In our desire for openness, as soon as it has been deemed justified, the synod is therefore eagerly counting on benevolence on the part of the reader. And constructive thoughts in responses will surely not escape the committee."
