Northern Nepal was hit by a massive flash flood yesterday. Massive amounts of water rushed down through valleys dotted with towns and villages, sweeping away everything in its path. Entire residential areas were flattened, bridges snapped like twigs, and roads were swallowed up. There is extensive damage and a shortage of everything.
Emergency relief operation
So what can you pray for? ‘Help them, Lord – these people don’t stand a chance!’ Diaconaat wants to help meet people’s basic needs. That is why we are launching a emergency action through our partner’s network in Nepal. We want to help by providing food, medicines, tents and clean drinking water. In this way, we bring hope where despair reigns. But long-term aid is also needed to help the area recover. Will you help?
