Update 10 November 2024: To our regret, the lectures by Rev Gul Khan from Pakistan cannot take place. Rev Gul Khan will not be granted a visa to Europe and therefore has to cancel the planned visit to the Netherlands.

Bringing the persecuted church closer? The church in Pakistan was hit by a fierce attack on the heart of their faith last year. Church buildings and homes were burnt. Christians were tortured and harassed for being falsely accused of violating the Quran.

Pastor Gul Khan is coming to the Netherlands to talk about Christians in Pakistan who are suffering because of their faith, but also about perseverance and courage. And you can be there, to listen to the stories and to pray together.

Tuesday night  26 November from 19:30 in church building Rehoboth, Noordzijde 1a, Noordeloos
Wednesday night 27 November from 8pm in building The Connection, Westerlaan 1B, Nunspeet

The story of Asia Bibi from Punjab province is an example of what Christians in Pakistan go through. Ms Bibi ran into trouble several years ago. Some Muslim women refused to accept water from her because anything touched by a Christian would be unclean. Ms Bibi allegedly said she believes in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins, and wondered aloud what the Prophet Muhammad ever did to save humanity. Islamic clerics filed charges and Asia Bibi was jailed. Her story made headlines.

Be edified by the stories of perseverance and courage. Come to one of the evenings.
