Our prosperity is so important to us that a politician dares to say: “So they'll just have to be a little hungrier in Africa.” Hunger is now the order of the day in the conflict region of Darfur, in Sudan. And it's not just hunger and water shortages; there is death and destruction. We cannot allow that to happen. Jesus Christ calls on us to give a cup of cold water, clothing and food to the poorest of the poor. That is what the Last Judgement will be about, we learn in Matthew 25. That is what we should be concerned with now.

On behalf of our churches, we are providing life-saving emergency aid in the Tawila region. A huge flow of refugees has started towards that area since RSF took the last city in North Darfur after a long siege and with a great deal of violence. Tens of thousands of residents have fled, while many are still trapped in the city. The people live under the constant threat of violence, ethnic cleansing and hunger.
With emergency aid, we try to provide people with the most basic necessities: water, food, shelter and medical care. Will you help us?
