The missionary living community Hart voor West in Rotterdam has room for a (senior) couple who want to serve God in the city.
At Heart for West, we want to follow Jesus. All our activities revolve around His loving message. We have a close-knit faith community. Everyone can and may be themselves here. We share beautiful and difficult moments with each other and experience our faith together.
The community of Heart for West is multicoloured. There are families and singles, children, young people and the elderly. Together, we want to follow Jesus and spread his light. We eat and pray together regularly. We help each other, look after each other's children, borrow each other's tools and go away together on weekends. This is how we live in community as a group. And in doing so, we like to be open to contact with new people who want to join us.
Heart for West grew out of the former Christian Reformed Church on Coloniastraat. The church was disbanded in 2008. The remaining money was used for a new project so that the Word would continue to sound in the neighbourhood. That became the diaconal organisation Thuis in West and, a few years later, the Christian congregation Hart voor West. Since January 2022, Hart voor West has officially been a Christian Reformed missionary congregation, with Cees van Breugel as pastor-evangelist.
