At the end of January, we welcomed 16 foreign guests, representatives of almost all our mission projects. People from Botswana, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, the Far North, Italy, Spain and France. They had been invited on the occasion of the General Synod's 'abroad week'. The video below shows a vivid impression of the visit.

For ten days, they stayed in a holiday home in Voorthuizen. On Sundays, they went to different churches. In total, they visited 22 local churches, in most of which they also presided. On Monday 27 January, they attended the mission conference on 'Challenges in missionary mutuality'. There, they were also able to say goodbye to the outgoing and meet the incoming missionary consultants Rev Willem van 't Spijker and Rev Arjan Witzier. Some of them spoke at the General Synod on Thursday 30 January.

In between, a number of tourist trips were made. For lunch and dinner those days, we were hosted by some of our churches. Thank you to Apeldoorn-Centrum, Enschede-Oost, Rotterdam-Centrum, Dordrecht-Centrum and Broek op Langedijk for their hospitality.
