Although less and less mail is being sent, it is still worth submitting stamps, birth cards and old black-and-white postcards for consignment.
Collect, process and sell
Mrs Van der Zaal from Nieuwegein regularly comes to the Services Office to collect stamps and cards that have been handed in. She collects, processes and sells the cards and stamps. The stamps are first sorted by type and then soaked. Then the stamps go to auction. There are also collectors who buy directly from Ms Van der Zaal.
Proceeds
Proceeds from all stamps and cards benefit the work of mission. In recent years, the stamps and cards have generated contributions of
- €7,000 in 2022
- €7,000 in 2023
- €6,000 in 2024
