After 35 years of Bible and translation work, Hessel and Coby Visser said their goodbyes in Botswana last April. They hope to return to the Netherlands for good this summer.
As members of the Provincial Executive, we would like to express our gratitude for their loyal service over the past 35 years and extend a warm welcome to them in the Netherlands. We intend to do this at a special gathering on God willing, Saturday 5 September 2026, in collaboration with the Urk-Maranatha Mission Committee and Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Agenda for the meeting
The programme for the gathering will include a presentation on the importance of Bible translation, a look back by Hessel and Coby, and a word of thanks followed by a short meditation. These elements will be interspersed with singing.
Venue and time
The meeting will take place at the Immanuel Church, Nagel 43, Urk. You are welcome to join us for coffee or tea from 10.00. The meeting will start at 11.00. Afterwards, from around 1.00 pm, there will be lunch, providing an opportunity to socialise.
There is plenty of parking available at the Immanuel Church.
