The Koningskerk Deventer is a cooperative congregation of the two Reformed churches NGK and CGK. We are a growing and dynamic congregation with over 1,300 members whose motto is Modern and Devout. We are a church in renewal, focused on the city of Deventer and its inhabitants and rooted in Christ.
In this context, pastoral pressures are increasing. Our older brothers and sisters (70+) make up about eight per cent of our congregation. In addition to the current team of church pastor and youth worker, we are therefore looking for a church worker/seniors pastor (0.2 fte) to provide pastoral support to these older church members.
What will you do?
- You provide individual and network pastoral care to (elderly) church members.
- You provide funeral services.
- You help think about a good structure to optimally shape the (elderly) pastoral care.
- You will support the pastoral team through training activities.

- An employment contract of 0.2 fte.
- A flexible form of contract; an annual contract, contract on a self-employed basis or a secondment agreement. We are also interested in posting for 0.2 fte of a pastor attached to a congregation.

Who are we looking for?
- You follow Jesus and you put Jesus and his message at the centre of all your work.
- You communicate clearly and tactfully and are able to function both independently and as part of a team.
- You are a professed member of the NGK or CGK.
- You are a pastor or have completed relevant training at at least HBO level.
- You are a good listener and connector and have demonstrable experience with the target group.
