The task of the Emeritikas Deputies is to provide benefits to ministers who have reached retirement age and to ministers who are no longer able to carry out their duties due to long-term illness. This provision also applies to the widows and orphans of ministers.
In order to restore Emeritika’s council to full strength, the council is looking for a new general member.
As a general member, your role will include contributing ideas on, amongst other things:
- the future activities of the Emeritikas;
- solutions for exceptional circumstances not covered by the existing church constitution;
- recommendations to the General Synod;
furthermore:
- you will attend the regular meetings, which usually take place twice a year;
- you will take part in occasional online meetings.
Who are we looking for?
The new general member is a member of the CGK and shares our association’s objectives. Knowledge of financial systems is not essential. However, we do consider it important that you have a keen awareness of social and church developments.
The work takes, on average, about one hour a week.
