In 1928, we sent the first missionary abroad: Rev Arie Bikker (1898-1977). He went to work among the Torayas on Sulawesi, Indonesia. After him came a whole line of workers, especially when we also started working in various countries in Africa. The last missionaries to return to the Netherlands were Rev Guus Vos (2011, Mozambique) and Rev Kees Buijs (2012, South Africa and Indonesia).

Missionary couples and missionary diaconal workers

At present, there are two married couples working as missionaries abroad:
- Ab and Clarine Mol;
- Guido Groeneveld.

Many missionary diaconal workers (mdw'ers) are also active from our churches: people who have been sent out by a local church for missionary work with an often global organisation, such as Operation Mobilisation or Wycliffe Bible Translators.
