Rev Jelle Nutma is closely involved in the Focus track of the IZB. He says: "With Focus we can help congregations on their way to finding how to be present in society today as believers and as Christ's church.'
Entire municipality
'Unlike the missional learning path we offered to teams from local churches, this is a path that includes the congregation as a whole.'
Focus
'Focus sets in motion. First as a congregation towards Christ and then under His leadership in the midst of the people around you. On the basis of thematic blocks, sermons, material for all sections of the congregation and guidance from the IZB and a missionary consultant, together you travel a path that seeks to effect change from the heart of the encounter with Christ.'
Partner IZB
'For some time we have been exploring the possibilities of using the 'Focus track' in our churches,' says Nutma. 'The IZB is a partner for us with whom we have had good contacts for years. It's great that we can now work that out in concrete cooperation at the local level.'
For CGK'ers
Due to corona, things were somewhat at a standstill, but now the first CGK has joined. The congregation of Apeldoorn-Centrum is making a start with the Focus Process. This start-up phase will last until January so that they can start working together in the new year. A so-called Focus Team will coordinate the entire process. Guidance will be provided by Rev Klaas van Meijeren of the IZB, together with Rev Jelle Nutma from the CGK.
