Are you looking for a way to be actively involved in sharing faith, but find it difficult to cross the threshold? Would you like to help people looking for answers to life questions? Then AskGod.co.uk looking for you! Become an enquirer.

What is AskGod.co.uk?

AskGod.co.uk is a interdenominational project, which challenges people to ask a life question via a form on the website. It is an online way of being missional: not going out to proclaim the message yourself, but connecting in your answer to the questions people have.

The website and e-mail address mainly reach people who know little or nothing about the Christian faith and have never realised that the Bible contains so many answers. People ask very personal questions there, about marriage, work, suffering and shame, for example.

What does an answerer do?

As a member of an answer team, you get the chance to answer a question once a week (or more often) from someone looking for answers from a Christian perspective. You have seven days to send a well-thought-out answer. You don't have to do that alone. The editors will read your answer and give you feedback.

Questions are assigned by a national team by region, so we can help people locally and, if necessary, refer them to a church or Christian course near them. As a member of a church or region team, you work together with other Christians from your church or region. A team consists of five responders, one editor, one planner and intercessors.

Who can become an answerer?

AskGod.co.uk seeks people who have a living relationship with God and regard the Bible as the infallible Word of God. You do not have to be an expert, but a genuine desire to help and serve others is essential. It is also important that you are willing to set aside time once a week to answer a question.

Why participate?

By participating in VraagaanGod.nl, you get the chance to be actively involved in sharing faith in an approachable way. You will contribute to answering life questions and establishing relationships with people looking for answers. In addition, working in an answer team offers the opportunity to grow in faith together, encouraging and supporting each other.

In 2023, I participated in an Alpha course through Zoom, only to finally find out that God was looking for me. Although I was brought up in a religious family and was able to take much of that with me. Also built a relationship with God, but at a really rotten time in my life, I felt very alone. Wondered where God was. During the various evenings, by watching short inspiring films and subsequent conversations, reading together, I discovered a new side of God. The Father who asks me to go with Him. Was quite a change. But also just as good, that He still wants to go with me, if necessary.
