The general work of deputies on foreign mission is looked after by a six-member moderating committee.
To give proper attention to the various areas of work, the deputation works with five deputation committees (DSCs): DSC Asia, DSC Europe, DSC for a mission area in the Far North, DSC Eastern Africa and DSC Southern Africa. The committees meet four times a year to discuss the progress of the work in one of the sub-areas with the mission consultant. Once a year, these DSCs meet with each other to coordinate various issues.
An annual reflection meeting for the (nineteen) missionary deputies is organised. They then reflect together on a particular theme, for example on Reciprocity and equality in mission situations.
The mission consultant is employed by the deputation and in charge of carrying out the work. He is the primary person to liaise with the various mission projects.
