Emeritikas

The churches consider it their honour and duty to jointly care for pastors who can no longer carry out their ministry due to old age or prolonged illness. In church terms, they are called emeritus. This care also applies to the widows and orphans of ministers.

To meet the obligations, the deputation emeritus has been created and substantial sums are needed. A large part of the minimum contribution therefore goes to the deputation emeritikas. For 2025, the following amounts are involved:
€27.00 to pay emeriti benefits,
€6.72 for existing incapacitated ministers, and
€5.00 to pay the premium for disability insurance for future AO situations.

To minimise long-term sickness among pastors, part of the minimum contribution is used forsickness and absence prevention of ministers.
