The Reformed Churches in Botswana came about in 1994 through the amalgamation of the churches that emerged from the missionary work of the Reformed Churches in South Africa (D'kar) and the Netherlands Reformed Church in Africa, the black branch of the NGK family (New Xanagas and Ghanzi).
There are currently three congregations, with eight mission stations and 11 preaching sites. The number of professed members is about 350. There are seven missionaries and pastors working for the Reformed Churches in Bostwana, one of whom is sent out by the Christian Reformed Churches in the Netherlands.
Since 1998, the 'RCB Discipleship School' has been providing cadre reform work, and since 2004 there has also been a more formal theological education: the Ghanzi Bible College. Youth work falls largely under the 'Life School'.
The various churches are also active in development work (Kuru Development Trust), pre-school education (Bokamoso) and HIV/AIDS education and prevention (True Love Waits and Ghanzi Christian Aids Committee).
We have limited correspondence with this church.
