Since the 2007 General Synod, we have had an official relationship with the EPCI, with which we had maintained informal contacts for some time, particularly through the RPCI.
The EPCI is a breakaway from the Irish Presbyterian Church, formed in 1927/8. There are 12 congregations, six of which are in the Belfast area and one in Dublin. One carries out mission work in partnership with the Free Church in Scotland. Missionary teachers have been sent out to Nigeria and South Africa from the EPCI.
The confessional scriptures are the Westminster Standards with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms.
With this church, we have full correspondence.
