Of course, unity cannot be made by humans. It is given by God. It is important that we recognise this and at the same time engage with our brothers and sisters in other church communities.
At the national level, the deputation holds discussions with representatives of various church associations. There are also regular meetings with the executive committee of the Reformed Association within the PKN. The aim of these discussions is to achieve mutual understanding and cooperation and to investigate what stands in the way of this.

Local
The local situation is quite distinct. Many congregations have intensive contacts with sister churches. In some cases, this leads to cooperative congregations.
The deputation tries to encourage local contact. It also advises cooperating congregations through DOE (deputies' consultation unit).
