Deputies on foreign mission have appointed Rev B.A.T. (Arjan) Witzier as mission consultant. Rev Witzier succeeds Rev Willem van 't Spijker, who hopes to retire in February 2025.
Rev Witzier will join the staff from 1 January 2025. He will start working a few hours a week from September so that the work can be handed over carefully.
Rev Witzier is currently pastor of the Apeldoorn-Centrum congregation, has been a missionary deputy since 2018 and has previously been a teacher and congregational pastor in Brazil.
Deputies are grateful that this part of the work will also be able to progress through the commitment of the new missionary consultant.
